Hello!

I’m Lauren, a freelance illustrator working in Alexandria, Virginia. My road to illustration has been long and winding, stemming from an early inclination to draw things I loved. Inspiration was abound as a kid in the form of elementary school projects, dance costumes, and trips to the the art supply store with my mom.

As an adult, I spent some time working in advertising, then completed a graduate degree in interior design. While in school, I worked in a stationery store and went on to co-found a custom design business. Throughout the journey, my love illustration never ceased, so I started to draw again.

My passions include trying new restaurants, visiting friends, and dogs! I work in the Adoptions department at a local animal shelter. My husband and I have the most awesome dog we could ever imagine. His name is Teddy and he is a grumpy and lovable senior cattle dog mix. I’m also a big supporter of mental health awareness. I am living and conquering OCD each day, and hope that others can be more open about their own relationships with mental health. Oh and I love pandas! Always have.
